Converting Your Traffic to Sales
Your business has been running an effective SEO campaign. You’ve probably reached the lofty heights of Google’s page one. If your website does indeed find itself high in the search rankings for a high traffic keyword, you would be receiving huge amounts of traffic just from search results.
An effective SEO campaign means that your website will receive increased clicks and traffic. But what happens then? These targeted clicks are exactly what any website administrator wants. So how do you use them to effectively grow your business?
Converting leads and enquiries into sales and profit is the next step in growing your online brand. Your site could be getting thousands of clicks per day. It still may not be converting any of them into sales. The first step of any SEO campaign is making sure that the website will actually convert some of this traffic.
How do you do this? It can be fairly difficult to properly optimise an older style website for traffic conversions. If your website has been created using older style web design technique, you should either think about completely re-designing the site or making sure that everything runs as smoothly as possible.
1. Mobile Responsive
The amount of people accessing the Internet through mobile devices is increasing significantly every single day. You can’t afford to have your website look like a dogs breakfast when accessed this way. If 50% of your traffic is from mobile devices, then that is 50% of visitors who will immediately be turned off.
Adding a simple enquiry form is a great way of allowing the user to initiate contact with your company with little fuss. A simple form can immediately gain details from potential customers and gives them a simple way of getting in touch.
3. Methods Of Payment
For websites that are e-commerce based and are selling products, it’s important to offer multiple methods of payment. Users that are shopping online are now demanding a variety of payment methods when completing a purchase. Offering PayPal is essential in any e-commerce platform but other payment methods, like credit card facilities, also need to be present.
If your website is seeing great traffic but not converting anywhere near as much as you’d like, you seriously need to think about overhauling some of its key features. Making your website easier to use will see your conversions multiply very quickly. Sometimes it is that simple.
